Most Finnish teachers and courses will teach you kirjakieli, the written language of Finnish, even though us Finns don't actually speak that way. You will see kirjakieli in books, magazines and the news, but you will not hear Finns speaking it. You might spend years of learning kirjakieli, and never actually understand Finns. I don't see the point of learning a language that nobody speaks, so I've taken it as my mission to teach puhekieli, the spoken language of Finnish to all Finnish learners, to have you finally understanding Finns - and to speak like one.

is a series of short 5-15min videos about Finland and the daily life in puhekieli (spoken Finnish) for any level Finnish learner.
